FAQ

Q: When and where is the event?

A: The 3rd Annual Texas Corgi Roundup will take place on November 9th, 2019 at Temple Lions Park from 9am-4pm CST. Please see the "about" section for a specific address and what you may need to bring on this fraptastic day! :)

Q: Am I allowed to bring my non-corgi siblings or furriends?

A: The answer is YES, of course! All breeds are welcome, not just corgi or corgi mixes. We welcome all dogs with open arms. They will be our "honorary" corgis for the day.

Q: Can I come even if I don't have a corgi?

A: Absolutely! As long as you are a lover of the breed and are prepared to love on a bunch of fluff butts for the day, you are more than welcome to come! Just keep in mind, all that attend must register on our website and the $20 entry fee is 100% donation to the non-profit organization we are fundraising for.

Q: I'd love to volunteer, how can I participate?

A: We would LOVE to have more volunteers. This event wouldn't be possible without the help of our lovely volunteers. Please fill out our contact form here.

Q: I want to be a vendor! Are you accepting new vendors this year?

A: Yes we are accepting new vendors this year! Please fill out the vendor form here. It is a $30 vendor application fee which is 100% donation to the non-profit we are fundraising for and then we require 10% of sales to be donated and collected as well by the end of the day. This is a win-win for everybody!

Q: How much does it cost to attend your event?

A: It is $20 per family for pre-registration. There is no limit to how many people are in your family. You must register by October 15th in order to qualify for pre-registration prices. On the actual day of the Roundup, it will be $40 per family. Your registration fee is a 100% donation to our two nonprofit organizations that we are fundraising for, Wyoming Dachshund & Corgi Rescue and Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue.

Q: Will you have any corgi breeders selling puppies at your event?

A: No, we will not have any corgi puppies for sale at this event. We may have corgis up for adoption through Wyoming Dachshund and Corgi Rescue and you must fill out an application in order to be considered. At the actual event, you will be able to meet potential corgis for adoption and speak with the rescue in person! They will be available to answer all of your questions. J

Q: Where can I buy a corgi?

A: Please review our Searching For A Corgi document by clicking this link. The Texas Corgi Roundup is not affiliated nor endorses the organizations or breeders mentioned in this document. As with any transaction made online, please use caution. We are NOT responsible for, nor recommending personally, the breeders OR buyers on this document. It is YOUR JOB to properly interview a potential breeder or puppy buyer.

Q: Can I bring my new puppy?

A: We recommend that your dogs are up to date on all of their vaccinations in order to attend the event. If they don’t have all of their puppy shots, we require you to keep them off of the ground in a puppy carrier or stroller to prevent any kind of contraction of diseases.

Q: Is this an off leash event?

A: All dogs must be on leashes unless they are IN SIDE the fenced in dog park area. Leashes are REQUIRED in every other part of the park.

Q: My dogs a bit snappy, will he be okay here?

A: We recommend for sensitive dogs that may become aggressive to be in an x-pen where they can feel safe and contained or in a basket muzzle. In a basket muzzle, they can still enjoy the event, play, drink water and eat but without the risk of them fighting with another dog.

Q: Will you have food for purchase at your event?

A: Absolutely! We will have a snack tent for drinks and snacks like chips, pretzels, bottled water, soft drinks, etc. 100% of the sales from these items benefit WDCR & QBSDR. We will also have four food trucks to choose from: The Hangry Girl, Big Dog BBQ, Hot Corner Food and Dave’s Burger Barn. Please click here to read more about our food truck options and their menus. 25% of sales from every food truck at the event will benefit our two nonprofit organizations. Woohoo!
